Invest in Kids

Through Invest in Kids, children across Illinois will have access to the education that’s right for them. Invest in Kids would provide financial support for education in the following ways:

  • Tax credits for teachers to reimburse them for out-of-pocket classroom expenses.
  • Funding for critical creative programs such as music and arts that are often not prioritized when resources are slim.
  • Student scholarships through nonprofit scholarship organizations providing for students attending both public and private schools.
  • Infrastructure funds to ensure that students are safe and can learn in well-maintained buildings.

Funding for these initiatives would be made available through tax credits raised from private sector donations to educational organizations. No property taxes would be increased to pay for these new opportunities.
